Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator / Machinist to operate and maintain CNC machines for precision manufacturing. The role involves machine setup, program execution, quality inspection, and continuous process improvement to ensure production efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines (milling and/or turning) to produce precision parts
• Perform machine setup including tooling, workpiece alignment, and offsets
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions
• Execute and monitor CNC programs using G-code and M-code
• Adjust machining parameters such as spindle speed and feed rate for optimal performance
• Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and in-process quality checks
• Ensure dimensional accuracy within specified tolerances
• Perform basic troubleshooting during machining operations
• Maintain machines, tools, and work area in good condition
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times

Job Requirements:

1. CNC Process Knowledge

• Familiar with CNC machining processes (milling and/or turning)
• Understand machining workflow from setup to production
• Able to read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions

2. Familiar with common G-codes and M-codes

3. Machining Parameters & Setup Knowledge

• Able to apply and adjust: Spindle Speed (S), Feed Rate (F), Trial Cutting, Tool Setting / Tool Offset, Work Offset (G54), Tool Change (M06)
• Capable of adjusting cutting parameters based on material and tooling conditions

4. Machine Experience

• Experience with Vertical Machining Center (VMC) and/or Horizontal Machining Center (HMC)
• Able to perform machine setup and basic operation independently

5. Measurement & Tolerance Control

• Proficient in using measuring tools: Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Gauge
• Able to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Capable of performing in-process inspection and first article checks

6. Basic Machining Competency, able to perform:

• Tool setting (Z offset / length offset)
• Workpiece alignment (centering)
• First article trial cutting (FAI)
• Basic troubleshooting during machining

Salary Range: RM3.5k - RM7k, depends on experience
