Job Description

  • Prepare and produce bakery products such as bread, buns, rolls, loaf bread, and other dough-based items according to standard recipes
  • Handle full bakery production process including mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping, baking, and cooling
  • Monitor fermentation, dough consistency, proofing time, and baking conditions to ensure consistent product quality
  • Ensure all bakery products meet required standards in taste, texture, weight, and appearance
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation of bakery workstation and equipment in compliance with GMP/HACCP standards
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and properly
  • Manage ingredient preparation, stock usage, and minimize wastage
  • Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished bakery products
  • Assist in daily production planning and ensure smooth workflow in bakery section
  • Guide and supervise junior bakery staff or assistants when required
  • Work closely with senior chefs to maintain production efficiency and consistency
  • Perform any other bakery-related duties assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Bakery, Baking Science, or Culinary Arts
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in bakery production (industrial bakery, hotel, or central kitchen)
  • Strong knowledge of bread production techniques and dough handling
  • Understanding of fermentation, yeast activity, and baking processes
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and GMP/HACCP practices
  • Able to work in a production-based, fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if needed.

Salary Range: Up to RM4k
