Key Points:

  1. This position is responsible for document management and quality control of the ELV (Extra Low Voltage) / low voltage / intelligent systems during MEP system execution. This includes reviewing ELV system installation quality, interface coordination, drawing and documentation filing, quality audits, and corrective action tracking to ensure installations comply with design specifications, contract requirements, and internal quality management systems.
  2. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in ELV Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electronics / Communications / Mechanical & Electrical Services, or related engineering disciplines.
  3. Candidates with experience in quality management, documentation control, or ELV system installation / testing will have an advantage.
  4. Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities.
  5. At least 2–4 years of experience in ELV system construction, installation, commissioning, or testing (preferably 3 years or more). Experience in data centers, cleanrooms, or high-specification facilities will be an added advantage.
  6. Familiar with ELV system structures, including structured cabling systems (UTP/FTP/FO), security systems (CCTV, intrusion alarm), access control systems, burglar alarm systems, intelligent building control networks, ELV distribution panels, connection / grounding / shielding requirements.
  7. Experience in site coordination during construction and installation stages, able to coordinate interfaces with electrical, MEP, structural, and architectural works.
  8. Familiar with documentation management processes, including drawing revisions, as-built drawings, equipment submissions, test reports, and document archiving.
  9. Good communication, coordination, and report writing skills, capable of tracking corrective actions and ensuring quality closure.
  10. Understanding and ability to apply quality management tools and processes, such as inspection checklists, ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), QA/QC audits, NCR (Non-Conformance Report) handling, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
  11. Ability to read and understand ELV system drawings, including cabling diagrams, network architecture diagrams, ELV distribution diagrams, and grounding / shielding details.


Main Responsibilities:

  1. Review drawings, change instructions (RFI / VIR), installation plans, and construction records related to ELV systems such as CCTV, intrusion detection, burglar alarms, access control systems, structured cabling (UTP/FO), ELV distribution panels, UPS, fire system interface ELV control, and network/communication systems.
  2. Monitor and control the quality of ELV system construction, installation, testing, and commissioning processes, including cable routing, wall/floor penetration and sealing, cable labeling, ELV panel installation, equipment positioning, connection and grounding/shielding requirements, and terminal testing (e.g., link testing, network speed testing).
  3. Develop or assist in preparing QA/QC plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and checklists for ELV systems.
  4. Coordinate with MEP, electrical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure ELV system installation, routing, and provisions do not conflict with other systems (power, fire protection, structural, architectural works).
  5. Establish and maintain a documentation management system, including organizing ELV system construction drawings, as-built drawings, test reports, commissioning records, material/equipment submissions (SSM, MDR), system acceptance reports, and final documentation archiving.
  6. Support the quality department in closing quality issues by identifying and reporting NCRs, assisting in root cause analysis, implementing CAPA, and tracking corrective actions.
  7. Participate in site quality inspections, document reviews, and project meetings (e.g., handover meetings), and prepare quality and documentation reports for the Document & Quality Manager / Project General Manager.
  8. Ensure ELV system installation, commissioning, and handover comply with contract documents, design specifications, local regulations, and company standards.
  9. Provide guidance or training to documentation, drafting, and construction teams on ELV-related documentation standards, quality requirements, and testing/acceptance procedures. Support project delivery stages, including final inspection, client interface quality audits, document submissions, PMC acceptance documentation preparation/archiving, O&M training, consultant re-inspections, and defect closure.
